General terms
Gallery Resources acts as a recruitment agency for the introduction of permanent and freelance staff and as a recruitment business for the engagement of temporary workers.
Both services are free to you as a work seeker. If we act for you as an employment agency we will introduce you to selected clients. If you are successful at interview the relevant client will engage you directly in a permanent or temporary role.
If we act for you as an employment business and if we find you work you will be engaged by Gallery Resources on temporary contracts and we will deduct tax and National Insurance and pay you directly.
In either case we will agree with you regarding the kind of work and pay that you are seeking and discuss any specific requirements that you have, before introducing you to clients.
Identity checks and right to work in the UK
Before we place you with clients in any capacity we do need to be satisfied that your identity is genuine and of your right to work in the UK. This means that we might need to ask you for copies of various documents, e.g. your passport.
If we do ask you for this kind of information, please provide it promptly. We will only ask to see your documents if Government regulations require us to do so.
It could be helpful for you to prepare copies of documents, ideally in a form that can be emailed, so they can be provided to us if needed.
If you are asked to meet us for interview please try to bring relevant documents with you so we can make copies when you are here. This can save time later in the process. The documents we will want to see are:
- Proof of your right to work in the UK – passport or work permit
- Proof of your identity – e.g. passport or photo driving licence
- Proof of your NI number – e.g. a letter from HM Revenue and Customs or an employer that shows your NI number
- Proof of your address – e.g. a utility bill
